The Legal bit
DAS Designs offers a range of handpicked dog collars, coats,
clothing, leads andharnesses, but what really make us unique are our
handmade bespoke dog coats.
We are committed to supplying excellent quality products that are practical, durable and comfortable for your dog.
Although DAS Designs specialises in trade stands at shows, our website ensures that everyone has easy access to good quality, bespoke dog coats and accessories at affordable prices, at any time.
You will see on the shop pages (under Controlling your dog), that we have also sourced a selection of English leather collars and leads, bridles and harnesses to help make walking your dog effortless, so you can enjoy that relaxing one to one time we all hope for.
Dogs have been about in our household, along with other animals, ever since I can remember. For a number of years I was involved in showing, breeding and judging gun dog breeds. DAS Designs really started by accident, mainly because I couldn't find a dog coat I wanted, that would actually fit. At the time I was working on show trade stands totally unrelated to this work, In fact it couldn't have been more different to now.
Once DAS-Designs started, one thing led to another and my creative side stepped in, I started making items that were sold in the show world, because I think it is important for dogs to have stylish, practical coats in modern fabrics that fit well and are comfortable. The majority of our coats are made in house, but we also stock some good quality branded coats to compliment the range. As well as our bespoke coats, I make a small selection of cosy beds. My dogs are my chief testers (and my critics) nothing gets past them!
The number of breeds of dogs and different coat types are vast today, especially with the new fashionable Designer Breeds.
The majority of dogs now live in our homes with us, because our homes are warm, dogs do not grow winter coats to maintain their body temperate, as they used to years ago.
Keeping your dog warm helps him through the colder weather and benefits his health as he gets older.
Any dog in poor health uses twice as much energy to stay warm. It also helps keep him happy and helps to make walks more enjoyable. After all you would not go out in colder weather without adequate clothing!
